Digital Detox

offline, unplug, recharge

With our lives submerged in screens and memories stored on clouds, digital detox holidays are the new up and coming trend. Without us even realising it, we have been the trendy digital detox holiday for the past 40 years.

With everything within clicking distance whether it is via your phone, computer, tablet or smart-watch our work life, our social life and the rest of the world are accessible instantly. It's no wonder ‘nomophobia’, the fear of not having your phone, is a new buzzword. It’s so easy to be connected to the bigger picture, we forget what is closest to us, in an emotional and physical sense.

A digital detox holiday pulls you away from your online-life and reminds you how to stop looking and start seeing, stop texting and start communicating, stop wishing and start doing.

Our friendly, down to earth, professional participants are longing to leave the rat-race behind and get back in touch with their real selves. Of course, we don’t want to cut you off completely from your family and friends so there are options to access home life digitally.

The natural remote beauty of Atsitsa Bay, Skyros island, Greece, means little phone signal and limited Wi-Fi. There are two laptops with internet connection available in the bar during bar opening hours and also three hours of Wi-Fi available between 2pm and 5pm during siesta if you have to check in with your digital life. The holidays are packed full of fun activities, community events and beach time, so there’s rarely time to log in to your Facebook account before the next 5-Rhythms dance in the magic circle.

We have found over our many years of bringing wellness holidays to the forefront of travel that a holiday with little digital communication allows a much more organic, memorable and free experience.

Atsitsa Bay brings opportunities to make new friends, lifelong memories, laughing till your stomach hurts, new skills to learn, authentic experiences and a truly valuable holiday. The holidays are seamless including accommodation, full board meals and all courses. It is an experiential holiday with no hassle!

Atsitsa Bay has a huge variety of courses so it can be your platform for a yoga holiday, your wellbeing retreat, windsurfing or kayaking destination, writing retreat, your painting studio or simply your dance floor.

Most of our participants travel solo, which can be nerve wracking for some, but our very helpful staff in the UK office and travel reps in Greece always do their best to ensure a smooth journey for every participant. Flying to Skyros takes just 40 minutes from Athens but resembles stepping through a magical window into a new, untouched world.
