How do I get to Skyros Island in Greece?
- Each holiday page offers individual travel information
- There are no direct flights from the UK to Skyros island
- Oubound: fly to Athens the night before your holiday starts (ie Friday), then join our transfer to Skyros island including overnight stay at the Dorian Inn Hotel and coach and ferry to Skyros island on Saturday. If you have questions please email holidays@skyros.com or call 01983 865 566. After confirming the correct times, please book your flights independently as Skyros is not a flight provider

Courses & Activities
How do I choose my courses and activities?
- Choose your preferred Masterclass in advance at the Skyros Centre. Join in drop-in classes including yoga
- In Atsitsa courses and activities are chosen when you're there. The courses are introduced to you at the beginning of the holiday and you can sign up for your favourites
- At The Grange in the Isle of Wight, book for a particular masterclass each weekend. During Easter, the Early May Bank Holiday, Christmas and New Year, there are two facilitators and you will be able to spend time with both.

What's included in the holiday fees?
- At the Skyros Centre in Greece, the price includes twin shared accommodation, two meals per day, additional drop-in classes and your choice of Masterclass as well as evening activities and events
- In Atsitsa in Greece, the price includes twin shared accommodation, three meals per day and a choice of up to four courses or activities over four to five days per week, as well as evening activities and events
- At The Grange in the Isle of Wight, the price includes twin shared accommodation, three meals per day, your choice of Masterclass, afternoon drop-in classes, ad-hoc morning and evening events
Accommodation
What are my accommodation options?
- At the Skyros Centre, stay in the traditional main village of Skyros island.
- In Atsitsa, most people choose to stay in rustic huts in the gardens on a twin shared basis. This is included in the holiday price. Or stay in the house for a supplement. Single hut and room upgrades are available for a supplement. Rooms in the house are limited.

What are the beaches like?
- There are two sandy beaches 10-15 minutes walk from The Skyros Centre. The large public beach has tavernas providing drinks, food and shade
- Atsitsa Bay has miles of stunning coastline to explore, with secluded coves, inlets and beaches. The nearest place to swim is from the steps just in front of the main house. The nearest pebble beach is a 5-minute walk away, and the nearest sandy beach, a pleasant 20-minute walk. There are no swimming pools. The bay is perfect for snorkelling. Atsitsa bay is usually very calm
General
Can I bring my children?
- Holidays at the Skyros Centre are adult-only
- Children are welcome in Atsitsa Bay during the school holidays (AT3 to AT6). Childcare provision is available in for those aged 5 – 15 years and there are also some courses that older children may be able to take part in (subject to the agreement of the facilitator). Children aged between 5 and 15 receive a 50% discount off the session fee price.
- Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Will I have access to the internet?
- The Skyros Centre has WiFi access. Also there are bars and cafes that offer wireless internet and a couple of internet cafes
- Holidays in Atsitsa are a perfect opportunity for a digi-detox as there is more limited internet access. However, WiFi is available in the bar and dining area between 2pm and 11pm. Some telephone networks may also be able to connect to the 3G signal.
Will my mobile phone work?
- In Atsitsa mobile coverage is limited & unreliable, although improving every year. Mobile phones usually work in the village and at the Skyros Centre
Am I too old/young to join a Skyros holiday?
- All ages are represented, from 5 – 85. Around 70% of our guests are aged 35 – 65
Can you cater to my dietary requirements?
- We can cater for specific dietary needs in all of our destinations. Please let us know your requirements when you book and we will do our utmost to accommodate you
Is it okay to join a Skyros holiday on my own?
- The vast majority of our participants are solo travellers and our holidays are designed with this in mind. Over 70% of our clients are solo travellers and so you are always in good company if you come on your own. Couples, friends and families are, of course, welcome too
