Holiday Facilitators: Alba Arikha

Biography

Alba Arikha has published six books. Her memoir, Major/Minor was shortlisted for the 2012 Spear’s Awards, and her novel, Where to find me, was longlisted for the 2020 Wingate Prize. A new novel, Two Hours, will be published in spring 2024.

She has written the libretto for two operas, most recently Blue Electric, an adaptation of her memoir. She has taught fiction and nonfiction for Guardian masterclasses and the Royal Academy of Art, and was a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and Columbia University. She is also a pianist and a singer/songwriter and has performed her French songs in London and Paris, where she grew up.
