How does the Rule of 6 affect my Autumn UK retreat?

Do the latest government guidelines adversely affect Skyros retreats in the Isle of Wight this Autumn?

1. What is a Covid-19 secure venue?
The Grange by the Sea, Skyros HQ in the Isle of Wight, has been awarded Visit England's Good to Go accreditation. Social distancing, the use of face coverings indoors and heightened sanitisation measures are all in place.

2. How does the 'Rule of 6' affect my Skyros staycation?
We cannot accept bookings from groups of people above the number of six. This doesn't affect solo travellers or those who book in with a friend or family member. The Grange can, of course, host more than six people in total as it follows government guidelines. Numbers for workshops are limited to ensure social distancing as they were throughout the summer.

3. Does the 10pm closing time curfew apply to accommodation providers?
The Grange team continues to offer table service and the bar now closes at 10pm. Room service is available after 10pm on special request.

Skyros was the first of its kind in Europe to offer community-based learning holidays in Europe. 2020 was the very first summer since 1979 that it was unable to offer holidays in Greece due to Covid-19. Instead, it turned to Skyros HQ, The Grange by the Sea in the Isle of Wight, as a venue and offered solo travellers the kind of retreat where they could continue to learn something new and meet likeminded people. Find out more about Skyros UK retreats here >>
