Activities at Atsitsa Bay, Greece

Let Yourself Go In Words with Stephen Clarke

Sun 16 - Sat 29 Jun 2024

Writing is accessible to everyone, you just need to find your own very personal voice and then exercise it, like a muscle. Writing has to be enjoyable, and it's possible for everyone to gain the self-assurance and sense of fun necessary if you're going to express yourself freely and in your own unique, personal way.

What's included?

Stephen's course is held in Atsitsa Bay on Skyros island in Greece and is part of the wide range of courses and activities available. The holiday includes full board twin shared accommodation in an eco-hut. Single upgrades and twin shares in the house are available. Chat through the website, call +44 (0)1983 86 55 66 or email to discuss your requirements.

About Stephen Clarke

Stephen Clarke has turned (or rather twisted) his life in France into six bestselling novels (A Year in the Merde, Merde Actually, Dial M for Merde, etc), as well as writing history books such as 1000 Years of Annoying the French, travel and opinion articles for UK and foreign newspapers, magazines and websites, and has a regular column in France magazine about being a Parisian.

He has also adapted his novel The Merde Factor for the stage, written and performed a words-and-music show about Anglo-French history, composed English song lyrics for a French singer, and written and directed a one-woman show for an American stand-up comedienne that was performed in Paris and New York.

Stephen tutored creative writing courses at Atsitsa in 2015 and 2019, and has given talks at different writers' groups in Paris, as well as mentoring a creative writing student at the University of London.
