JUNE OFFER
Book any of the following holidays at the Skyros Centre...

LC3 or MA3 (6 - 13 June), LC4 or MA4 (13 - 26 June), LC5 or MA5 (28 June - 11 July)

... and pay only £45 instead of £145 for your transfer from Athens to Skyros island. This includes an overnight stay at a 5-star hotel and return coach and ferry to Skyros island.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
We have two consecutive one-week holidays in Greece running from 19 September to 3 October.

Join us for one week at Atsitsa followed by a second week at the Skyros Centre, and enjoy a very generous saving of £225 when you book both together.

This is the ideal opportunity to spend a week by the sea with all that Atsitsa has to offer plus a week in the Skyros village with a choice of three in-depth courses.

All holidays this year are subject to a surcharge of £35/week due to the exchange rate fluctuation - see below for more details.

CHILDCARE IN ATSITSA
From 12 July to 5 September (sessions AT6, AT7, AT8 & AT9), we offer childcare facilities during course times. We limit the number of children on these sessions and regrettably all child places on AT7 have now been filled so we cannot accept any more bookings for children during this period from 26 July to 8 August. There are, however, places still left on the remaining sessions.

SKYROS FUND RAISES £12,000
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all those who contributed to the Skyros Fire Fund. The fund was set up in response to the devastating forest fire in July last year that wiped out hundreds of acres of pine forest on Skyros island, Greece. Thankfully, there was no loss of life or injuries.

Members of Skyros staff and holiday makers have raised twelve thousand pounds and this money has now been presented to the islanders. Some of the money has been handed directly to a few local families including the Kyra-Kali family in Fokas Bay who lost their orchard and livestock. The rest will be given to local representatives towards reforestation and protection of the island’s magnificent pine forest.

WRITERS' LAB SUCCESS STORY
We are delighted to share with you some inspiring news from a Writers' Lab participant.

'Since taking a course at the Writers' Lab at the Skyros Centre in October 2007, I am now delighted to announce the publication of my first novel! "All things bright and beautiful", a black comedy about the television industry, by Shani Solomons, is available online from Amazon and Waterstones.

Many thanks to my course tutor Joyce Dunbar and all the other people who encouraged me to 'go all the way' - I am gobsmacked to have got there!' Shani Solomons

The Writers' Lab begins again this May and has an excellent reputation for nurturing talent. Just recently, The Guardian named it Number 1 of the World's Five Best Writing Holidays.

ONLINE BROCHURE
The Skyros brochure is available to download. New this year are Music & Arts holidays at the Skyros Centre in Greece and Writing Holidays in Cuba.

HOLIDAY SURCHARGE
Due to the fall in the exchange rate of the pound, our costs have increased dramatically. We have, therefore, added a surcharge of £70 for a two-week holiday and £35 for a week-long holiday which goes a little way towards these extra costs. We hope that you understand that this small increase is the only option open to us under the circumstances. In terms of value for money, Skyros remains unbeatable. In Atsitsa, for example, the cost of accommodation, full board and five hours of courses amounts to £68 per day in low season and £89 in high season. This is, more or less, the cost of a night's stay in a three-star hotel or a one-hour consultation with any of our facilitators in the UK!
