grace, colour, charm

Skyros-in-Paradise as many participants have called it, offers an unforgettable adventure in which one can make wonderful new friends, enjoy a different culture and be inspired...

Once again Skyros are excited to be returning to the beautiful island of Koh Samed in Thailand. Thailand is a country in Southeast Asia and Koh Samed is a paradise island on the Eastern Seaboard, sitting in the Gulf of Thailand. Join us at our old-new home, at a lovely resort in Ao Wong Duean. Located on a white sandy beach, the resort offers tranquility and relaxation. Yet, with just a short walk to the other end of the bay, enjoy a selection of cafés and beach restaurants, or take a truck taxi (most roads in Koh Samed are unmade) to Ao Phai and Had Sai Kaew for shopping, nightlife and dancing. This holiday will follow traditional Skyros community structures with morning Demos and evening activities. Join in as much or as little as you like and fulfil your time in Thailand.

Koh Samed: (sometimes written as Ko Samet) is located in the Gulf of Thailand 141 miles southeast of Bangkok. The island derives its name from the cajeput tree which grows everywhere on the island. Written about by classical Thai poet Sunthorn Phu (there are statues of his characters scattered around the island) the classical name of the island is Koh Kaew Phitsadan or the "Magic Crystal Island". The island is part of the beautiful Koh Samed National Park, and offers a range of activities, from walks in the interior, diving and snorkelling as well as a lively nightlife. Koh Samed is very safe and hassle free.

Holiday activities and courses

Skyros-in-Thailand offers a selection of holiday courses, ranging from yoga and life coaching to morning pages, meditation and more. Courses are informal, often held on the beach or in a private, air-conditioned group room. They run for four days each week, with a one day break mid-session. Participants can choose up to three courses a day or take time out to make the most of their surroundings. The Skyros groups are warm and friendly with a strong community connection.

Participants often choose the Skyros group transfer, which includes two nights in the luxury 5-star Pullman-G Hotel (formerly Sofitel Silom Hotel) in Bangkok. In this fascinating city there will be an excursion to one of its cultural highlights and also a chance to experience the city’s colourful nightlife. If required, Skyros can arrange extra days in Bangkok.
