Atsitsa Bay Programme & Prices Accommodation, Food & Daily Life Book
Holistic Holiday Facilitators Travel

Accommodation

Atsitsa Bay participants live simply and comfortably just moments from the sea. Some stay in our spacious stone villa and others in two-person bamboo huts situated in the midst of lush gardens and shaded by pine and fruit trees. Some single huts are available at a supplement of £175 per session. Shared twin rooms in the house carry a supplement of £75 per session. Atsitsa has its own cafe-bar where you can sip cool drinks, watch the glorious sunsets over the sea and dance the night away.

‘Abandoning every last vestige of dignity, I find myself humming to this group of strangers. Later on, I look in the mirror and decide my eyes are beautiful. Something has definitely shifted in the way I see myself.’ Elle

Food

Atsitsa Bay has gained such an outstanding reputation for its cuisine in terms of both quality and quantity that some participants claim they return just for the food! The freshest ingredients are always used – locally sourced seasonal fruits and vegetables, natural yoghurt and cheeses, pulses and grains. Lunches tend to be vegetarian and Mediterranean in style. Meat or fish is usually served in the evenings. Vegetarians are always catered for.

‘Despite initial reservations, I found myself relaxing into the warmth and camaraderie of the group. I talked for England, laughed, danced Zorba-like on the terrace as the sun set, reflected on life and the universe, boogied the night away in the local Music Bar and drank too much retsina.’ Time Out

Daily life

Each session is split in two with three or four days of courses in each half, punctuated by a day’s break in between. In the second half participants can choose different courses, or continue the same ones, if there is space. The day starts with early morning courses (up to one hour), followed by community events, mid-morning courses (two hours) and late afternoon courses (two hours). The actual programme is determined at the beginning of each session and participants sign up on the spot. On the free day participants can choose from a variety of organised events which may include forest walks or an island coach tour.

‘I'm not always good at staying in touch once I get back into my every day, but there are some people I met in Skyros who have already found a place in my heart’. Manchester Evening News

Nightlife

Evening activities include spontaneous events such as parties, story-telling, games, talks or comedy shows. Some people just talk until the early hours or swim by moonlight. On the free day many choose to go to Skyros town where there are a number of clubs, bars, and tavernas to choose from.

‘I feel I made bonds that will last a lifetime because the friendships were based on getting to know the real me and vice versa.’ Sunday Independent

‘On this idyllic island my life changed for ever.’ The Daily Express
